I recommend just making music whenever you feel like it as if you try to stick to a weekly deadline then it can burn you out, especially if you're in school. I assume you're doing this so you can either improve faster or get your name out faster but my advice is to try not to rush things and just take your time otherwise the pressure could get to you and your music quality could dip.
